Salami Cheese Chilla
Crispy besan chilla stuffed with chicken salami and melted cheese.
Ingredients
Batter
- 1 cup besan
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper or red chili powder
- 2โ3 tbsp chopped spring onions
- Water as needed
Filling
- 4โ6 chicken salami slices, pre-cooked
- 2 cheese slices or grated cheese
- A little oil or ghee for the pan
Method

In a bowl, mix besan, salt, pepper, and chopped spring onions. Add water gradually to make a smooth, pourable batter.

Heat a pan and lightly grease it. Pour the batter and spread it into a chilla. Cook until the bottom sets.

Add the pre-cooked chicken salami and cheese on top. Fold the chilla over the filling.

Cook both sides until golden and slightly crisp, and let the cheese melt inside. Serve hot.
Note: Since the salami is already cooked, you only need to warm it through inside the chilla, which also helps keep it juicy.
